Intermediate Exercises and Scenarios

Exercise 1: Course Readiness Review

You will review a sample course category and identify missing teachers, hidden courses that should be visible, outdated enrolment dates, missing groups, and activities that still reference the previous term.

Exercise 2: Enrolment Design

You will choose an enrolment pattern for three cases: a small manually managed workshop, a large programme cohort, and a public orientation course. For each case, document the method, owner, risks, and validation steps.

Exercise 3: Role Assignment Cleanup

You will review a list of role assignments and decide which should remain at system, category, course, or activity context. The goal is to reduce broad permissions without blocking legitimate work.

Exercise 4: Plugin Request Triage

You will evaluate a requested plugin and classify it as approve for testing, defer pending more information, or reject. Explain compatibility, security, operational, and support considerations.

Exercise 5: Report Interpretation

You will review sample log and activity completion outputs, identify likely causes of a learner complaint, and list what evidence should be shared with academic or support stakeholders.

Capstone Scenario: Mid-Term Support Spike

Several instructors report slow course pages, learners report missing quiz access, and leadership requests an update within one hour. You will create a triage plan covering impact, evidence gathering, temporary workarounds, escalation, and communication.
